French Consumer Code

Terms of Sale

Applicable to consumer customers (B2C) • Last updated: October 18, 2026

1. Scope & Provider Information

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all contractual relationships between:

  • The Seller / Provider: Robin Jallade, operator of Objex3D (https://robinjallade.com), located in Marseille (13th arrondissement - 13013), France, reachable at objex3d@gmail.com.
  • The Customer: Any individual acting as a consumer placing an order for custom additive manufacturing or CAD modeling services.
Tax Regime: Operated under the French VAT exemption scheme for individual creators (Article 293 B of the French CGI - "TVA non applicable").

Placing an order requires the customer's full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Sale via a mandatory checkbox prior to order submission.

2. Nature of Goods & Services

A. Print-on-Demand (POD) 3D Printing Service

Objex3D provides custom Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM / FFF) 3D printing. The customer selects customization parameters (polymers such as PLA / PETG, color combinations, technical infill).

FDM Technology Characteristics: The customer acknowledges that additive manufacturing operates via layer-by-layer material deposition. Minor layer lines and micro-surface textures are typical characteristics of 3D printing and do not constitute a defect or lack of conformity.

B. CAD Design and Prototyping

Custom computer-aided design based on blueprints, measurements, or defective replacement parts provided by the customer.

3. Ordering Procedure

  1. Configuration: Customer selects item and filament color options in the online configurator.
  2. Contact Information: Customer inputs full name, email, and specific instructions.
  3. Terms Acceptance: Customer acknowledges these Terms of Sale and the statutory withdrawal exception for personalized 3D items.
  4. Confirmation: Objex3D reviews technical printability and issues an order confirmation email specifying net price and estimated production completion date.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on the website are in Euros (€) net (VAT not applicable, art. 293 B CGI). Pricing covers raw materials, electrical energy, machine depreciation, and manual clean-up/post-processing.

Payment terms: Payment is collected in full upon in-person handover in Marseille (13th) (cash or verified instant bank transfer).

5. Handover Terms

All orders are delivered exclusively via in-person handover in Marseille (13th arrondissement - 13013), France and immediate surroundings, by mutually agreed appointment.

Estimated production timelines (typically 24 to 72 business hours depending on printer workload) are confirmed via email.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Under Article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, consumers normally have a 14-day statutory cooling-off period for distance sales contracts.

STATUTORY EXCLUSION FOR CUSTOMIZED GOODS (Article L. 221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code):

The right of withdrawal CANNOT BE EXERCISED for contracts:
"3° For the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized;"

Items 3D printed on demand with specific color selections, custom dimensions, or custom CAD files are clearly personalized and made to order. Once printing production has started with the customer's agreement, orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded under withdrawal rules.

For any hypothetical non-customized stock item, the 14-day statutory withdrawal period applies from receipt, using the standard form in the appendix.

7. Statutory Warranties

Objex3D provides statutory consumer warranties under French law:

  • Legal Warranty of Conformity (Articles L. 217-3 et seq. Consumer Code): 2 years from delivery for any non-conformity existing at delivery time.
  • Legal Warranty against Hidden Defects (Articles 1641 et seq. Civil Code): 2 years from discovery of hidden defect making the item unfit for its intended use.
Thermal Precaution: Standard PLA parts should not be exposed to prolonged temperatures above 50°C (hot car interiors, dishwashers), as thermal softening is a physical property of the polymer, not a material defect.

8. Mediation of Consumer Disputes

If an amicable resolution cannot be reached via direct email (objex3d@gmail.com), the consumer has the statutory right to free dispute resolution through an accredited mediator:

  • Accredited Mediator: [MÉDIATEUR CHOISI - E.g., CM2C / Consumer Mediation Center, 49 Rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris]
  • Filing URL: [À COMPLÉTER : Direct mediator online submission URL]
  • European ODR Platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

9. Applicable Law

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent French civil courts.
